EU law requires manufacturers located outside the 30 EEA member states to designate an EU authorized representative within the EU to ensure the consistency of product "safety" during circulation and use after being placed on the European market; Technical documents must be stored within the European Union for inspection by supervisory authorities at any time; Remedial measures must be taken for products that are found by market supervision agencies to be non-compliant with CE requirements, or for products that have been labeled with CE despite accidents during use.
